Wire 2024: A Record-Breaking Event!
We are happy to announce that delegates from the BS Stainless team have returned home safe and well from the Wire 2024 trade fair and exhibition in Düsseldorf. Our team members have come back filled with enthusiasm and excitement, ready to use the information they have learned to further improve our suite of services and drive our company forward.
Here at BS Stainless, we have always focused on innovation and progression. Part of this has involved visiting a wide range of events all over the world, including the prestigious Wire trade fair. The exhibition has taken place every two years since it was first established almost four decades ago back in 1986 and this year's event set new records, becoming the biggest ever in its history.
Wire 2024 featured over 1,500 exhibitors (including 400 from the stainless steel industries) representing more than 60 countries from all over the world. Running for five consecutive days and occupying an area of a massive 67,400 square metres, the exhibition welcomed in excess of 43,000 visitors from every sector of the diverse wire industry.
Two events that were of special significance to the BS Stainless team were the H2 Summit and Destination Green, both of which were focused squarely on showcasing the latest ideas and developments in sustainable, environmentally-conscious working practices. We have always sought to reduce our impact on the environment and were recently awarded ISO 14004 in recognition of our successful achievement of our green goals.
Our team of delegates also attended many other events at Wire 2024, including presentations, lectures, keynote speeches and digital guided tours. Each event gave our team members new insights into the fast-paced wire industry and also provided many opportunities to network with professionals and meet with some of our European clients.
The next Wire event is scheduled to take place in April of 2026 and we will once again be sending a team of delegates to Düsseldorf. As one of the UK's leading suppliers of stainless steel wire, BS Stainless will continue to be an innovative pioneer in this crucial sector.
